Since the last Fokker 50 left the final assembly line there have been considerable developments in aviation, and specifically in the segment of turboprops.
On May 23, 1997 the last of five Fokker F50s, ordered by Ethiopian Airlines, was delivered to them by the receivers. When this last Fokker 50 left the assembly hall, many Final Assembly-line Employee waved a sad Goodbye to the plane on the tarmac of Schiphol-Oost.
With this the Fokker 50-chapter closed for Fokker Aircraft B.V.
